Air Pollution Dispersion Modelling in Urban Environment Using CFD: A Systematic Review

Air pollution is a global problem, which needs to be understood and controlled ensure healthy environment inform sustainable development. Urban areas have been established as one of the main contributors air pollution, and, such, urban quality subject an increasing volume research. One principal means studying dispersion use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models. Subject careful verification validation, these models allow for analysts predict flow concentration various morphologies under different environmental conditions. This article presents detailed review CFD model in over last decade. The extracts summarises information from nearly 90 pieces published research, categorising it according 190 modelling features, are thematically systemised into 7 groups. findings across field critically compared available guidelines standards. Among quantitative trends statistics review, two key stand out. first that, despite existence best practice modelling, anywhere between 12% 34% papers do not specify or more aspects utilised models, required reproduce study. second that none articles perform validation accepted results this can, therefore, used by practitioners understand general current research identify open problems addressed future.
